Workswell USB3 and GigE modules for FLIR TAU2 are designed to be integrated easily into extension systems or to be connected to a PC. The modules are compatible with all FLIR TAU2 9Hz/30Hz sensors (TAU2 640, TAU2 320/336, TAU2 160/162/168) and enable easy access to sensors data, their controls, and administration. FLIR TAU2 is operated and powered via a USB3 or a GigE interface by means of a Hirose 50-pin connector. The whole internal electronic content is protected by an aluminium case.
Workswell CorePlayer software automatically identifies the USB3 or GigE interface, a FLIR TAU2 core type, or a faulty IP address setting. Depending on the core, the resolution is set to 8 or 14 RAW data format.INQURY
USB3 interface is powered directly through the USB3 cable with no need for an additional external source. Very low energy consumption lowers the need for a special cooling. USB3 interface is fully compatible with USB3 Vision and Gen-I-Cam protocols.
GigE interface is powered directly through the Ethernet cable (PoE) and its very low energy consumption lowers the need for a special cooling. GigE interface is fully compatible with GigE Vision 2.0 and Gen-I-Cam protocols.
Development libraries (SDK) for Windows and Linux x86 are included in the USB3 or GigE module delivery packages. This enables an easy integration and access to data. There is also a possibility for the customer to buy extra the analytical CorePlayer software used for data analysis or special development libraries for Labview, Matlab, and Linux ARM.
It is possible to buy FLIR TAU2 in any of the available versions together with the convertor. In addition, thermal calibration will be performed for FREE.

Even though you will be using the Workswell WIRIS system during many flight hours, a great part of your work will be dedicated to analysis and evaluation of the collected data. Most of the time, the simple transfer of “pictures” will not be enough, and it will be necessary to perform a detailed analysis and create a protocol. That is why Workswell CorePlayer system, or possibly Workswell ThermoFormat analytical software, are part of every WIRIS delivery package.
Software is designed to perform detailed analysis, editing, exporting to different formats, and creating comprehensive reports from the thermograms recorded by Workswell WIRIS. All common functionalities for analysis of such data (temperature on the spot, minimum and maximum of the area, temperature profile, zoom, change in temperature scale, color palette, emissivity etc.) are available within the software, as well as extending functions such as GPS position on a map, or displaying the digital picture taken by WIRIS.
