Hot glue is a solid substance which, after heating to the correct temperature, melt and are used as liquid glue. When connecting surfaces, the two objects must be glued, attached and sealed before the glue cools and hardens. A Thermoinspector is used at the site of the production line measuring the temperature of the glue. The Thermoinspector can determine if there is the correct amount of glue on the sealed part, if each application of the glue is in the correct position and if the glue is at the correct temperature to ensure top quality sealing of the individual parts. If the temperature or the position of the glue does not meet the requirements, the product will suffer from quality loss, the manufacturer would risk an increased number of complaints and could even lose their good reputation. This can be prevented by the application of ThermoInspector.
For example, the ThermoInspector is used during the production of components for the automotive industry, the system was set to measure the lower temperature limit. This would ensure that the temperature was correct to keep the glue at the optimal temperature of 50°C. The temperature is checked in eight rectangular areas in which the current temperature is evaluated, which must not fall below the stated limit. If the required temperature is not achieved, the system signals a defect on the monitor and the defective items are removed and don’t get included in next phase of the manufacturing process.
