The Workswell WIRIS mini is a thermal imaging system designed for commercial unmanned air vehicles, known as drones (UAV). Compared with the traditional version of The Workswell WIRIS, the Workswell WIRIS mini has significantly smaller dimensions and is much lighter. It is a compact system that combines a thermal camera, a digital camera (set to a visible spectrum) and a processor unit that can record radiometric data and output it to a digital HDMI port all in one case. Data can be stored either in the internal memory or on an external micro SD card.
The major advantage of the Workswell WIRIS mini system is the wide scope of settings able to be controlled in real time directly on standard RC transmitters (Workswell WIRIS mini supports 4 PWM inputs and the SBus). The system is unique as it has multiple options for the remote configuration of series settings and parameters such as, emissivity, reflected temperature, temperature range, palette, ZOOM and more.
What is also extraordinary about the Workswell WIRIS mini is its precision of measurement. Both WIRIS thermal imaging cameras can achieve values of ±3 °C. This means that they are considered to be the most metrologically precise thermal cameras for drones. For this reason, they are suitable for metrologically demanding applications such as industrial inspections, precise agriculture, diagnostics of buildings, and more.
The Workswell WIRIS mini is also much smaller than the standard WIRIS 2nd gen. Its dimensions are only 85 x 65 x 45 mm and it weighs 160 g.
The Workswell CorePlayer can be used to analyse the captured images and create reports and graphs. The Workswell ThermoFormat software can be used for bulk editing and exporting images (for example, to create 3D models).
The Workswell WIRIS mini thermo-vision system is has a resolution of 384×288 pixels. The final images can be stored in the following formats:Radio-metric JPEG

If you are using a GPS connection, the GPS coordinates are saved to individual images.

Even though you will be using the Workswell WIRIS system during many flights, a large part of your work will be dedicated to the analysis and evaluation of the collected data. Most of the time, simply transferring “pictures” will not be enough, and it will be necessary to perform a detailed analysis to understand the thermograms. That is why we offer both Workswells CorePlayer or Workswells ThermoFormat analytical software, included in every WIRIS delivery package.
Workswells CorePlayer software has been designed to perform detailed analysis and allow a user to edit, export data to different formats, and create comprehensive reports from thermograms. All standard functionalities for analysing data are available within the program (temperature on the spot, minimum and maximum of the area, temperature profile, zoom, change in temperature scale, color palette, emissivity etc.) as well as extending functions such as the GPS location of where the picture was taken and being able to display full spectrum digital pictures. Our ThermoFormat software is designed mainly for batch administration of recorded thermograms. If you need to change the color palette, emissivity, or temperature scale in all the recorded thermograms then the ThermoFormat will saves you a lot of time as it can perform all of these functions. The ability to export recorded thermograms with EXIF metadata to create photogrammetry and 3D models can also be accomplished using this software.
