Workswell WIRIS mini is a thermal imaging system designed for commercial unmanned air vehicles, known as drones (UAV), which, compared with the traditional version of Workswell WIRIS, has significantly smaller dimensions and weight. It is a compact system, which combines a thermal camera, digital camera (in a visible spectrum) with the processor unit with the option of a recording unit for recording radiometric data with a digital HDMI system. Data can be stored either in the internal memory or on an external micro SD card.
The major advantage of the Workswell WIRIS mini system is the wide scope of control in real time directly on standard RC transmitters (Workswell WIRIS mini supports the PWM inputs and the SBus). The uniqueness of the system is based on the option for the remote configuration of series settings and parameters which include emissivity, reflected temperature, temperature range, palette, ZOOM and more.
What is also extraordinary is the precision of measurement, which achieves the value ±3 °C. This includes the Workswell WIRIS mini, together with the traditional construction of the Workswell WIRIS, which are metrologically considered to be the most precise thermal cameras for drones. For this parameter, they are suitable for metrologically demanding applications that include industrial inspections, precise agriculture, diagnostics of buildings, and more.
The Workswell WIRIS mini is also small. Its dimensions are only 85 x 65 x 45 mm and it weighs 160 g.
The Workswell CorePlayer can be used for analysing the captured images and creating reports. The Workswell ThermoFormat software can be used for bulk editing and exporting images (for example, to create 3D models).

Even though you will be using the Workswell WIRIS system during many flight hours, a great part of your work will be dedicated to analysis and evaluation of the collected data. Most of the time, the simple transfer of “pictures” will not be enough, and it will be necessary to perform a detailed analysis and create a protocol. That is why Workswell CorePlayer system, or possibly Workswell ThermoFormat analytical software, are part of every WIRIS delivery package.
Software is designed to perform detailed analysis, editing, exporting to different formats, and creating comprehensive reports from the thermograms recorded by Workswell WIRIS. All common functionalities for analysis of such data (temperature on the spot, minimum and maximum of the area, temperature profile, zoom, change in temperature scale, color palette, emissivity etc.) are available within the software, as well as extending functions such as GPS position on a map, or displaying the digital picture taken by WIRIS. ThermoFormat software is designed mainly for batch administration of recorded thermograms. In case you need to change the color palette, emissivity, or temperature scale in all the recorded thermograms, ThermoFormat contains this function and thus saves you a lot of time. Export of recorded thermograms with EXIF metadata in order to be able to create photogrammetry and 3D models is yet another great added value.
